We make weddings a speciality.

Remember that the music you choose for your special day can greatly enhance the beauty of the occasion.

We take great care to  liaise with couples and offer advice and suggestions as required. On the day, we always consult with your celebrant to ensure perfect co-ordination with the ceremony so that there are no awkward moments or false starts. If the bride is late, our playing can settle the mood and help your guests relax. We are very experienced at judging when to taper off or extend our playing to fit in with any unplanned happening in the ceremony!

What groups do we provide?

•  QUARTET - two violins, a viola and a cello. The fullest, richest sound suitable for any size venue; the most popular choce because of the great sound and a very wide repertoire.
• TRIO - 2 violins + cello, or violin, viola + cello. Perfect for weddings and for playing times to about 2 or 3 hours
• DUO - Violin + Cello, or 2 Violins. This is a good choice for a smaller venue, and a short occasion. There is less interesting music for duos but we can still provide many of our most popular wedding selections.                                                       Our suggestions for your wedding music are that we play for 15 mins before the start of the ceremony. This will establish just the right ambience for the occasion. We then play for the entry of the bride, at the signing of the registry and again at the finale. We can then continue to play for the contracted time.

For weekend weddings, our minimum performance booking is only one hour, although many couples engage us to play during drinks, canapes and at the reception.

What do the players require at a venue?

At venues all we require is adequate light, some armless chairs for our players and protection from the weather (our instruments are very valuable and cannot be exposed to strong sun or dampness).
